Fraternity and Sorority Life

The Greek community at the university is focused on giving students the chance to learn both inside and outside of the classroom. The university's eight fraternities and two sororities uphold their own missions through brotherhood and sisterhood activities. These groups also concentrate heavily on the values of their organizations by participating in regular philanthropic and community service events. Each fraternity and sorority has its own operating structure and allows students to develop valuable leadership and interpersonal skills. Academics and scholarship are an integral part of the Greek system, and the community works hard to uphold rigorous scholastic standards as a part of their daily functioning. Membership is open to both residential and commuter students.
